Personalised or branded corporate event clothing has the power to transform your event, conference or stand. The right corporate event clothing will make your team look more professional, attract more customers, and help you build better relationships with current and future customers (yes, it really will!) If you are new to buying corporate event clothing then here is a short guide to help make it easy for you.

How and where will your staff wear the corporate event clothing?

Is your event outside or inside; hot weather or cold? Will there be a/c blasting or will they have to do lots of heavy lifting? Is your event at night, or do your staff need to have safety gear? These things make a difference to what your staff will feel comfortable wearing (and if they are uncomfortable then they will not be performing to their best). Obviously, where safety or high visibility are concerned (such as for stewards at an evening event), you will want to choose something reflective. The most popular choice is the the high-viz vest. For warmer weather we would recommend polo shirts, with smart collars or classic tees with a classic round collar. And if you think temperatures might be low, make sure you order some jackets. A classic all-over print hoodie or varsity jacket is perfect.

What kind of branding does your corporate event need?

If you have run a lot of events in your career, you will know that comfort is a key consideration for staff. Comfortable branded clothing does not have to mean scruffy. The great thing about corporate event clothing is that all your team can be comfortable AND represent the brand. In fact, a team dressed in good quality logo-branded polo shirts will look just as professional as if they were wearing suits. But printed or embroidered polo shirts are much more approachable because they feel less formal. This will encourage customers to engage with your stall and with your staff. The range of colour, style and branding options is huge. Think carefully about colours: if you brand has bright colours anywhere in its logo then bring these out as the primary colour of the shirt, using black or white branding to give the detail. Your team will stand out more at the event whilst being strongly on brand. Pantone-matching is possible for larger orders on cotton clothing but, if you simply must have a Pantone match and smaller order quantities then consider a sublimation (all-over print) item of corporate clothing. This will give you the smaller run and exact match.

Corporate event clothing looks better with caps

If you want to make an impact with your corporate event outfits then make sure you select some nice caps to go with the rest of the gear. Caps are practical for keeping warm and keeping the sun out of your eyes, but they also (literally) raise your branding above other clothing choices. We recommend baseball caps or sun visors for most events, as they are considered appropriate dress and give you lots of room for branding. They are also very practical items of clothing that staff are likely to use again and again, give you much more brand mileage for your investment.

Choosing the right size, personalisation and fit for corporate event clothing

Choosing sizes can seem a bit daunting, but BrandHK have years of experience in helping people to choose the right size. We have size charts for all of our clothing, and many items can be supplied in mixed sizes to order. The easiest way to prepare is to get the sizes of your team in advance. If you are predominantly buying for a female audience then consider getting ladies cut where it is available as this is a much more popular cut.

There are so many personalisation options available for clothing and headwear, but you will typically want to focus on 4 main options. First there is screen printing: this works best with 1-2 colours and gives a clear and crisp high quality print on the fabric. Obviously the fabric will not be a totally flat surface, so you should expect the weave of the textile to impact the edges of your artwork. Secondly, embroidery is very popular because it is so durable and has a very high quality feel. Embroidery costs rise with the size of the artwork, however, so it can be more expensive with large and complex , multi-colour artwork. But embroidery looks great on caps and cotton clothing. If you want an image or very complex full colour printing then the first option for you is our PhotoMe, full colour transfer printing. This will print a full colour image onto the garment. For best results print on a white garment where the colour show-through will not reduce the impact of your image. PhotoMe is not as durable as screen print, but gives you much more flexibility for using digital artwork in your branding. Finally there is sublimation printing for all-over, full-colour printing that is intrinsic to the garment. This print is always used for sportswear so you will have seen it. The main drawback to sublimation is that it limits your choice of fabric to something that can be sublimation printed. Perfect for sportswear, and we also have a sublimation hoodie that looks absolutely stunning.
